This
is a general guide for your visit at the eye clinic.
The average duration of the visit maybe approximately
2 to 3 hours so that the appropriate eye tests may be
carried out for you.
For the first visit, please produce:
identity card/birth certificate
referral letter (if any)
civil service card/PA card (if any)
work permit/employment pass/dependent
pass if you are non residents
student pass
For
follow-up visit, please produce:
appointment
card
Vision assessment including vision acuity
and intra-ocular pressure (if required) will
be tested before seeing the doctor.
The doctor will record your symptoms and
examine your eyes. Depending on your eye
condition, you may be sent to other rooms
for further tests/procedures or to a listing
room for the listing of operation/procedure.
The doctor will also write a prescription,
medical certificate(MC) or referral letter(if
applicable).
The
tests include:
Refraction
Biometry
Visual field
Dilatation of eye (Eyedrops are
instilled into your eyes to dilate your
pupil so that the doctor can fully examine
your eyes. Your vision will
be temporarily blurred and may affect
your reading and driving. The effect
of the dilating eyedrops may take several
hours to wear off. A pair of dark glasses
may help to reduce the glare from light).
Fundal Fluorescein Angiography (if required)
Treatment procedures
These
eye tests may vary from patient to patient.
Certain eye tests may take more than
an hour to complete.
For private patients, please place your clinic
service form together with your appointment
card on the designated tray. The cashier
will call your name and attend to you
accordingly. Payment will be collected for
services rendered. We accept cash/credit
card /nets and a bill receipt will be generated.
The cashier will also arrange for the follow
up appointment if required.
Please proceed to the pharmacy to collect
your medication (if any).
