Vision assessment including vision acuity and intra-ocular pressure (if required) will be tested before seeing the doctor.

The doctor will record your symptoms and examine your eyes. Depending on your eye condition, you may be sent to other rooms for further tests/procedures or to a listing room for the listing of operation/procedure. The doctor will also write a prescription, medical certificate(MC) or referral letter(if applicable).

  The tests include:
  • Refraction
  • Biometry
  • Visual field
  • Dilatation of eye (Eyedrops are  instilled into your eyes to dilate your pupil so that the doctor can fully examine your eyes. Your vision will be temporarily blurred and may affect your reading and driving. The effect of the dilating eyedrops may take several hours to wear off. A pair of dark glasses may help to reduce the glare from light).
  • Fundal Fluorescein Angiography (if required)
  • Treatment procedures

These eye tests may vary from patient to patient. Certain eye tests may take more than an hour to complete.
